Dusti Larsen

Dusti Larsen, MEd, currently serves as the alternative learning environment teacher focusing on behavior plans and social-emotional skills at Gravette Upper Elementary in northwest Arkansas. She is also the coordinator of math interventions. As a member of the guiding coalition team, she was an instrumental part of her school becoming a Model PLC at Work® school in 2018.

Dusti has 20 years of experience working in high-poverty schools, with students with behavior concerns, and with those in special education, and she always takes a student-centered approach to her methodology. She has held many leadership roles in her school, facilitating numerous collaborative meetings in her own grade level as well as whole-school and vertical teams. She was a member of the fourth-grade Arkansas State Guiding Coalition team, helping to create the PLC Playbook and presenting to fourth-grade educators across the state.

Dusti earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in teacher education from the University of Illinois Springfield as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University. She holds certifications in elementary education, special education, ESL, and administration.
