Jessica Edwards is a special education teacher at Floyd Bell Elementary School in upstate New York. In addition to her role as an educator, Jessica is her district’s elementary special education team leader and her building’s teacher technology leader.

Jessica specializes in fostering collaborative environments in which general education and special education teachers can work together to promote high levels of learning and growth for all students. She leads and collaborates with teachers and teams to develop strategies, lessons, and student engagement opportunities that build on the strengths of each individual team member. Jessica strives to create learning environments in which all teachers and students feel heard, included, and accepted.

As a presenter, Jessica has shared her collaborative approaches across the region. She emphasizes the importance of all team members playing an integral role in the planning, development, and implementation of educational experiences for all students.

Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree in human development from Binghamton University, where she went on to receive her master’s degree in childhood, early childhood, and special education.
