Justin K. Fisk

Justin K. Fisk is the director of multilingual learning for Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Justin taught Spanish and German in Illinois and Maryland prior to joining the administrative team at Adlai Stevenson. Justin’s current work focuses on professional learning community (PLC) implementation, supporting learning and building agency for multilingual learners, and implementing evidence-based learning and assessment.

Justin currently serves as the vice president for the National Association of District Supervisors for Language and has presented at ACTFL, Learning Forward, TESOL, and WIDA. Justin’s published work includes chapters in Proficiency-Based Grading in the Content Areas and The Seal of Biliteracy: Case Studies and Considerations for Policy Implementation, as well as an article in The Language Educator Magazine on the importance of standards. Justin coaches Scholastic 3D Archery at Adlai Stevenson and sponsors the Friend International and Sports Analytics clubs.

Justin earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish for International Service and a master’s degree in Spanish and Latin American literature from the Catholic University of America. He also holds a master’s degree in teaching from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a master’s degree in teacher leadership with certification and focus on English language development from Loyola University Chicago. He is currently completing a doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of Illinois.
