Kimberly Salomonson

Kimberly Salomonson provides coordination and professional development for state and district work in continuous quality improvement efforts. She works to align systems, build collaboration, and close the achievement gap for all students.

Kimberly’s career in education includes seven years as the director of pupil personnel services for the Sanger Unified School District in California, as well as a project manager, curriculum support provider, and school psychologist.

Kimberly specializes in local, county, and state education policy and practice and brings a powerful perspective to building systemwide coherence (MTSS) through culture shifts, coaching collaborative team-building, inclusive-minded and equity-based decision-making, sound resource and fiscal allocation practices, and instructional design.

She has contributed to several articles on response to intervention, professional learning communities, equity-based education, and leadership development. She has also presented at multiple conferences on tiered systems of support and special education transformation.

Kimberly led a department that was awarded a Golden Bell for excellence and highlighted on KVIE Public Television, Inside Education, for its inclusive efforts. She has sat on state-level task forces and was recently appointed by the governor to the California Advisory Commission on Special Education.

Kimberly earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with an administrative services credential, as a chancellor fellow at California State University, Fresno. She also earned a master’s degree in education with a distinction in school psychology and a pupil personnel services credential with a specialization in school psychology from Fresno Pacific University.
