Lybrya Kebreab

Current doctoral student (University of Central Florida) studying Mathematics Education. Former district-level Mathematics Coach/Teacher on Special Assignment with 16 years experience in public education in urban/suburban school districts.

Lybrya Kebreab is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and has written a 4-part blog series on mathematics and play. She has varied experience including presenting to administrators and teachers, as a guest panel speaker at “Beating the Odds” event and mathematics conferences in various states.

Ms. Kebreab is an inaugural cohort participant in the California State Network of Educators; a partnership between the California Department of Education and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium for which she has been chosen for several special projects. She was honored to be teacher of the year at Sierra Vista Middle School (2014-15) in Hacienda La Puente Unified School District.
