Malik Muhammad

Malik Muhammad is a consultant, speaker, and instructional specialist with 20 years of experience in public, charter, private, and homeschool education. He has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, dean of instruction, and assistant principal. For the past nine years, he has provided professional development, focusing on school culture and effective instructional practices.

In 2005, Malik coached, mentored, and supervised the math department for Lancaster ISD in Texas, leading them to a 17 percent gain—the highest single-year increase for the district. His instructional strategies and techniques continue to yield consistent results for schools and districts in Texas and beyond. In addition to consulting, he serves as the owner and operator of a PK3–5th grade private school.

Malik has received numerous educator and community-service awards. He is a member of Texas Association of Black School Educators, National Association of Black School Educators, and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Malik earned his bachelor’s degree from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas.
