Melody Stacy

Melody Stacy is chief academic officer for the Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services. A passionately positive and purpose-driven educator, she’s been geeking out about how to amplify excellence in schools for more than 26 years. She is a former high school math teacher, curriculum resource specialist, middle school assistant principal, and elementary principal. Some of her favorite self-proclaimed titles along the way have included believer-in-chief, lead learner, chief storyteller, head culture creator, and chief energy officer.

No matter her title, she is here to seek out and inspire greatness in others. Under her leadership, Taylor Mill Elementary was awarded the status of a Model PLC at Work® School. Melody is an advocate for all things PLC, leadership, and digital tools that amplify school culture and student success. At her core is an unshakeable belief in education as the great equalizer and that, together, we are brilliant. She is always striving to be remarkable for our students.

Melody was the recipient of the University of Kentucky’s Teachers Who Made a Difference Award and has served as a facilitator on the Regional Mathematics Leadership Network for Kentucky. Formerly a national trainer for Laying the Foundation, through the National Math and Science Initiative, she is a proud member of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators.

Melody earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Kentucky University, as well as her Rank I and National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Mathematics.
