Michael L. McWilliams is a veteran educator and presenter specializing in laying the foundation for effective implementation of the PLC at Work® process. He currently serves as the lead learner and principal of Savannah Elementary School, a Model PLC in Texas.

Michael L. McWilliams is a veteran principal, certified Gallup Strengths Coach, and educational presenter specializing in laying the foundation for effective implementation of the PLC at Work® process. His focus is on creating systems that close the knowing-doing gap, campus improvement planning, and creating a culture of collective responsibility. Equipping and empowering others to be the best version of themselves is his life’s mission.
Michael currently serves as the lead learner and principal of Savannah Elementary School in Texas. Under his leadership, the school has been recognized as a PLC Model by Solution Tree, an Imagine Math School of excellence for three years, and an Imagine Math Beacon School. In addition, Savannah Elementary also earned recognition as an exemplary school by the Texas Education Agency. Michael also serves as the co-host of Inside the Principal’s Office, a bimonthly leadership broadcast.
Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s degree in educational leadership from The University of Texas system. He is currently pursuing his EdD in leadership from the American College of Education.
