NeCole Hernandez

NeCole Hernandez serves as principal of Ashgrove Elementary School in Riverton, Wyoming, where she focuses on helping students succeed by developing positive relationships, implementing team collaboration, and sharing leadership responsibilities. Under her leadership, Ashgrove was designated a Model PLC at Work® school. With 25 years of experience as an elementary teacher, instructional facilitator/coach for grades K–12, and building administrator, NeCole is committed to instructional leadership and establishing reliable schoolwide systems to support both students and staff.

NeCole has a passion for working with others to implement PLCs and make a positive impact on the way educators approach their work with students. As a leader, she believes in the importance of having strong knowledge of instructional strategies and best practices to support learning at all tiers. She has also served as a K–12 instructional coach. This allowed her to share her experiences and refine her own practices in helping others implement instructional strategies to engage students. During her time as a classroom teacher, NeCole specialized in both math and literacy instruction at the elementary level.

NeCole received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming and master’s degrees from Lesley University and Grand Canyon University.
