Obie Leff has more than 30 years of expertise in education and leadership. He currently serves as director and principal of Twin Rivers Charter School, a 2024 Model PLC at Work® and National Blue Ribbon School.
Obie Leff
Obie Leff brings more than 30 years of experience in education as a teacher and school leader dedicated to ensuring learning for all. Obie serves as director/principal of Twin Rivers Charter School in northern California, a 2024 Model PLC at Work® and National Blue Ribbon School. His expertise includes school culture, assessment, standards-based grading, and supporting meaningful collaboration for singletons.
Twin Rivers Charter School has demonstrated eight years of sustained academic growth for all students while closing achievement gaps for diverse student populations. In addition, Twin Rivers was selected for recognition by the California Distinguished Schools Program, California PBIS (which awarded Twin Rivers with its top platinum), the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools—and placed on the prestigious California Schools to Watch list. (Notably, Obie served as district office administrator in 2020).
Having led initiatives implementing standards-based grading, coordinating assessments, and developing a comprehensive strategic plan, Obie has also implemented restorative practices, developed successful arts programs, and facilitated professional development for collaborative teams and singletons.
Obie holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of California, Davis, and a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Brandman University.
