Ryan Mahn

Ryan Mahn currently serves as the assistant principal at a K–6 STEAM elementary school and as the K–6 science coordinator in his school district. He has also served as an instructional coach and teacher—and he’s passionate about fostering innovative learning environments, STEAM education, and transforming school culture to prepare students for a bright future.

Recognized through various platforms and awards for his leadership in education, Ryan has been a speaker at numerous conferences, including those for the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), ICLE Model Schools, and Missouri Learning Forward. His work has also been honored by the 2022 STEM Teacher Leader Network Showcase, McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Award, Nixa Young Professionals Top 10 Under 40, and Mike Neden STEM Champion.

However, Ryan’s passion for education extends beyond his administrative and teaching roles. He is a co-creator and director of STEAM University and has served as a teacher-in-residence and adjunct professor at Evangel University. Additionally, he is a STEM-certified educator and a Rutherford Coaching trained professional.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri, Kansas City; a master’s degree in educational technology from Missouri State University; and an education specialist degree in educational administration from Missouri State University.
