Thomas Crook is a seasoned superintendent with over 20 years of experience in education and is known for his transformative leadership in creating vibrant learning communities. In a short time, he guided his district through a successful shift from a “PLC Lite” to a “PLC Right” school—a transition he champions for its power to improve student learning and achievement. Thomas wholeheartedly believes that the PLC at Work® process is the proven path to success for student achievement, and he wants to share his passion with the entire educational community.
Under Thomas’s leadership, Canisteo-Greenwood Elementary School in Canisteo, New York, was recently honored as a Model PLC at Work® school. This recognition, achieved within its first year in the New York State PLC Project, reflects the dedication of his guiding coalition and staff.
Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in advanced teaching from SUNY Geneseo. He also earned a master’s degree in educational administration from Grand Canyon University and completed additional studies in educational leadership at the University of Rochester.
