Treena Casey is executive director of teaching and learning at Singapore American School. With more than 25 years of experience in education, she served as assistant director for curriculum and instruction at Shekou International School in China for eight years. Treena was also a teacher and teacher leader at Nagoya International School and International School Bangkok. She began her education career in New Zealand, teaching in both urban and rural schools.
Treena specializes in assessment, curriculum development, professional development, and strategic planning, as well as in the Western Association of School and Colleges and International Baccalaureate® Programme accreditation processes.
She holds teaching certification and undergraduate credentials from Auckland College of Education, a bachelor’s degree from Regents College, New York, and a master’s degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo. Treena also holds a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals Training Center.
