Finalists Announced for Solution Tree’s Third Annual DuFour Award

Bloomington, Ind. (January 25, 2018)—Solution Tree, an educational publisher and professional development provider, has announced three finalists for the third annual DuFour Award. The award honors one high-performing school that is recognized as a on AllThingsPLC.info.

The 2018 DuFour Award finalists include:
Pioneer Middle School, Tustin, Calif.
Thermopolis Middle School, Thermopolis, Wyo.
Woodlawn Middle School, Long Grove, Ill.

Each finalist submitted an essay along with a video demonstrating their commitment and dedication to building a successful professional learning community, improving student learning, and advancing instructional best practices.

“We received many exceptional applications this year and were highly impressed by the important work educators are doing in their schools,” said Solution Tree CEO Jeffrey C. Jones. “Each of this year’s finalists did a tremendous job showcasing how they operate in collaborative teams to achieve high levels of student learning across grade levels and subject areas.”

Established in 2015, the award is named in honor of the late Dr. Richard DuFour. An award-winning educator and best-selling author, Dr. DuFour was recognized as one of the leading authorities on the PLC at Work™ process.

The DuFour Award winner will be announced during The Summit on PLC at Work in Phoenix, Ariz., on Feb. 20–22, 2018. The winner will be presented with a check for $25,000 and receive five free registrations to The Summit on PLC at Work.

Previous recipients of the DuFour Award include Mason Crest Elementary in Annandale, Va., and Fern Creek High School in Louisville, Ky.
