Reuben Gresham

Reuben J. Gresham, PhD, is a cluster superintendent for school improvement and operations with Gwinnett County Public Schools. He was a national award-winning high school principal, assistant principal, teacher, and coach. Prior to his work in education, Dr. Gresham was a ranger and airborne-qualified infantryman in the US Army.

In 2016, Dr. Gresham was awarded the Henk Koning Exemplary Educator Award by the National Career Academy Coalition. The award recognizes an academy educator who has made a significant contribution to the success of a career academy. Also in 2016, he was selected to participate in Harvard University’s Public Education Leadership Project. Additionally, his school was awarded the 2015 Innovation and Transformation Award by Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) and the 2015 Outstanding High Schools That Work Assignments Award by the Southern Regional Education Board.

Dr. Gresham belongs to several professional organizations, including the Georgia Leadership Institution for School Improvement (GLISI), GCPS Redistricting Committee, Local School Administrator Association (LSAA), Georgia Educational Research Association (GERA), Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL), Quality Plus Leadership Academy (Aspiring Principals Program), Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals (GASSP), and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

Dr. Gresham received an undergraduate degree in English education from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, a master’s degree in education leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and a PhD in education leadership from Mercer University.
