Kimberly Moore

Kimberly Moore, EdD, is the director of educator development and effectiveness at the county level, where she supports districts and schools in their continuous improvement efforts.

Dr. Moore began her career as a science teacher and quickly became a leader on her campus, serving as a science division leader and intervention coordinator. As intervention coordinator, she helped design a schedule that provided Tier 2 intervention during the school day, ensuring all students had access to targeted and timely support.

After 13 years in the classroom, Dr. Moore transitioned into administration as an assistant principal and later as a principal. During her tenure, she led her school to achieve Model PLC at Work® status in 2023. She has been deeply involved in PLC work for over a decade and frequently presents on topics such as building a strong PLC foundation, RTI implementation, and creating effective Tier 2 intervention systems at the secondary level.

Dr. Moore holds a bachelor’s in biological science and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from CSU, Sacramento. She earned National Board Certification in 2008 and her doctorate in educational leadership in 2022.
