Danette Meyer

Danette Meyer works with leaders and educators to create positive, inclusive school experiences and academic achievement for multilingual learners as the lead partner of with partners, an organization designed to support student success.

Danette served as assistant superintendent for language and culture and human resources in Schaumburg School District 54, a Model PLC at Work® school district in Illinois serving 16,000 students. She oversaw the implementation of dual language, immersion, and English Learner programming at 28 schools. She also led a districtwide initiative to improve organizational culture through the principles of positive psychology.

During her tenure as principal of MacArthur International Spanish Academy, she implemented the PLC process, which led directly to MacArthur getting recognized as Spanish School of the Year by the Spanish Ministry of Education in 2011. In 2015, MacArthur was ranked as the #2 elementary school in suburban Cook County by Chicago Magazine.

Danette earned a bachelor’s degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago and master’s degrees from National Louis University and Northern Illinois University.
