Hope Meares

Hope Meares is a digital learning coach in Anderson School District One, located in upstate South Carolina. In this role, she works with teachers on the implementation of digital learning strategies in their classrooms while also supporting professional learning communities (PLC) in the district. Hope is passionate about coaching teacher teams as they work collaboratively to ensure high levels of learning for all. She is a member of the Anderson School District One’s guiding coalition that is committed to being the model of a collaborative culture of continuous improvement.

Hope has been in education for over 24 years. Prior to her role as digital learning coach, she served as an elementary classroom teacher, STEM teacher, and reading intervention teacher. Anderson School District One has been named a Model PLC at Work® district. The three elementary schools that Hope works with have earned the distinction of being named Model PLC at Work schools.

In her current role, Hope leads professional learning sessions for teachers in Anderson School District One. She has presented at the Upstate Technology Conference, the South Carolina EdTech conference, and at the Seesaw Connect Summer Conference.

Hope received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Clemson University. She earned a master’s degree in elementary education and a master’s of education in administration and supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. Hope was named a National Board Certified Teacher in 2008 and again in 2018.
