Kristi Napoli

Kristi Napoli is the principal at Golden Hills Elementary School, a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work school in the Palermo School District of Northern California. With over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher and administrator, she focuses on working with collaborative teams through the PLC process and designing an effective multitiered system of supports (MTSS) to monitor student performance and provide interventions and extensions for all students.

Kristi began her educational career in Northern California as a multi-subject teacher. After becoming principal in 2017, Kristi led the Golden Hills educators in dedicated team collaboration, which resulted in increased student success and being recognized as a Model PLC at Work school. Additionally, Kristi led the Golden Hills School team to develop MTSS for academics, behavior, and social-emotional needs. Under Kristi’s leadership, Golden Hills has been recognized as a California Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) honoree: Silver, 2019-2020; Platinum, 2020-2021; and Gold, 2021-2022.

Kristi has also served as a grant writer and consultant on numerous topics, including community schools, California MTSS, the Teacher-Based Reform Pilot Project, mentor teachers, and the Teacher Residency for Rural Education Project. During a California Department of Education webinar on learning acceleration and recovery focused on literacy, Kristi was the panel representative for California rural schools and presented on how the PLC process led Golden Hills School to implement MTSS.

Kristi earned a bachelor’s degree, a professional clear multiple subject teaching credential with CLAD emphasis, and an administration credential from California State University, Chico.
