Tara Fulton

Tara Fulton is the principal at Clute Intermediate School in Clute, Texas. Tara has served as a teacher and administrator at the elementary and secondary school levels. She is passionate about the power of professional learning communities.

Her educational career started as a teacher at Jane Long Elementary in Freeport, Texas, where she was honored as the Brazosport ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2007. While serving as assistant principal at Gladys Polk Elementary, she was named BISD’s Assistant Principal of the Year in 2013, as well as Principal of the Year in 2016 and 2019. Under Tara’s leadership, Gladys Polk Elementary was recognized as a Model PLC School in 2017.

In 2019, Tara received the prestigious Rebecca Burnette DuFour Scholarship for Women in Education. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Eta Omega chapter, as well as the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.

Tara earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in educational management from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
