Ted Goergen

Ted Goergen, EdD, is the director of student activities at the award-winning Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. In his role, he provides support and leadership for Stevenson’s co-curricular programs, including the professional development of over 150 club advisors. Additionally, Dr. Goergen helps lead professional learning in the district on the topics of equity, access, and inclusivity. With nearly 20 years experience in education, he also served as a middle school and high school science teacher, curriculum team leader, and advisor for many clubs and activities on campus.

Dr. Goergen is a member of many professional organizations, giving presentations extensively at state and national conferences. As a result of his commitment to student learning, Dr. Goergen has been honored by the Illinois State Board of Education and Clarke University. He also serves on the Salem School District Board of Education.

Dr. Goergen earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in educational technology from Clarke University, a master’s degree in educational leadership from Roosevelt University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the American College of Education.
