Karin K. Hess, EdD, the creator of the Hess Cognitive Rigor Matrices, is an internationally recognized speaker and leader in developing practical approaches for using cognitive rigor and learning progressions in assessments. Since 1998, Karin has been working in schools as an elementary and middle school principal, district curriculum director, and classroom teacher.

In this practical webinar, Mona Toncheff will explore how collaborative teams can ensure all students learn grade-level mathematics through Tier 1 core instruction and Tier 2 interventions. Mona will provide ready-to-use tools and strategies from the latest book in the Every Student Can Learn Mathematics series, Mathematics Strategies for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Interventions in a PLC at Work®.

Jeff Byrnes is the current assistant superintendent for teaching and learning in the St. Helens School District in St. Helens, Oregon. With over 25 years of experience in education, Jeff specializes in the implementation of professional learning communities and multitiered systems of supports. He is certified to lead in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® and Response to Intervention (RTI) at Work™. He has also served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Arizona and Washington.
