Dr. Julia “Jai” Wilson is an assistant principal for Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, Kentucky. She has served as a science teacher and department chair, assistant principal intern, and assistant principal for five different high schools.
Dr. Julia “Jai” Wilson is an assistant principal for Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, Kentucky. In her 24-year career as an educator, she has served as a science teacher and department chair, assistant principal intern, and assistant principal for five different high schools.
Dr. Wilson presents on topics such as school culture, special populations, and PLC implementation and monitoring. She believes that all students are capable of learning at high levels and that once a relationship is built with each student, the learning capacity is unlimited!
In addition to being nominated as a JCPS Outstanding Educator of Color, Dr. Wilson has served as the president, vice president, and treasurer of the JCPS Assistant Principals’ Association. She is also an adjunct professor at Campbellsville University in Kentucky.
Dr. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in biology education from Kentucky State University, a master’s degree in secondary education and leadership from Indiana University Southeast, and a doctorate in educational leadership and organizational development from the University of Louisville.
