Maria Everett

Maria Everett is an educational speaker with over 30 years of experience in mathematics education. She is formerly the secondary mathematics coordinator for Baltimore County Public Schools, where she also served as a middle and high school math teacher, mathematics department chair, and gifted and talented resource teacher. Her leadership emphasizes and supports collaborative planning, implementation of rigorous mathematics instruction, and best instructional practices.

Over the years, Maria has provided professional learning opportunities in secondary mathematics content, instructional strategies and routines, and best practices for parents, teachers, department chairs, coaches, principals, and district administrators. She is a member of NCSM and NCTM. She was appointed NCSM secretary from 2015-2017, elected NCSM 2nd vice president in 2019, and elected 1st vice president in 2020.

Maria is a cum laude graduate of Kutztown University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree specializing in secondary mathematics education. She also earned her master’s degree in curriculum and supervision from Western Maryland College.
