In this hands-on and collaborative two-day workshop, Mona Toncheff guides participants through practical strategies designed to strengthen mathematics Tier 1 core instruction and Tier 2 interventions. She uses the Mathematics at Work framework, built on the four critical questions of a PLC at Work, to address acceleration along learning progressions and explore the models and strategies teams can use to ensure student learning from one year to the next. Grounded in research-affirmed practices and insights from the latest book in the Every Student Can Learn Mathematics series—Mathematics Strategies for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Interventions in a PLC at Work—this workshop equips educators with the tools needed to ensure all students learn mathematics at grade level and above.
Participants explore how collaborative teams can:
- Design and implement high-quality, equitable Tier 1 instruction focused on grade-level rigorous mathematics.
- Learn to build a community of learners in every classroom.
- Explore mathematical instruction routines to provide timely and targeted Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
- Foster student engagement, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Develop actionable plans for immediate implementation.
Join us for two days of collaboration, reflection, and practical application as we work together to ensure that every student can achieve mathematical success!
