What is a teacher training course?

A teacher training course is designed to give teachers and other educators the skills to lead their students to success. Teacher training courses can help teachers meet their state’s requirements for continuing education or recertification/renewal of a teaching license. Courses can also be taken for independent professional development.

Each teacher training course at Solution Tree pairs you with a knowledgeable facilitator, providing you with timely feedback throughout the course.

All Solution Tree online teacher training courses include readings from a provided research-based ebook, videos and presentations by leading experts in education, and online quizzes. Our graduate credit teacher training courses also include writing reflection assignments, midterms, and finals.

How long is a teacher training course?

Teacher training courses vary in length. Solution Tree offers two course lengths. Our CEU courses are 15 contact hours long, while our graduate credit courses are 42 contact hours long. One contact hour equals 60 minutes of interaction with a facilitator.

However, the actual amount of time needed to complete the course may vary depending on how long it takes you to complete exercises and whether you take extra time to study or revisit portions of your teacher training course. We encourage you to go at your own pace.

Where can I study teaching?

With online teacher training, you can study teaching from anywhere with an Internet connection. Our online portal allows you access to your courses 24/7. Fulfill continuing education requirements from the comfort of your own home.
