Professional Learning Communities

Haley James is the supervisor of instruction for Madison County Schools in Alabama. She previously served as an elementary principal, preK–12 assistant principal, instructional coach, and elementary teacher.

Jennifer Taylor serves as an instructional coach at Riverton Intermediate School. Prior to her current role, she supported administrators and teachers in the professional learning communities (PLC) process as a district instructional specialist.

Paula Maeker is an educator, presenter, and advocate for learner-centered education. She has more than 23 years’ experience as an elementary teacher, literacy specialist, instructional coach, Title 1 program coordinator, campus administrator, director of elementary literacy, and director of instructional design.

Sarah Hays, a seasoned educator with 30 years of experience, currently serves as the PLC Administrative Coach for the Bozeman School District. Sarah served as the principal of Emily Dickinson Elementary School in Bozeman, MT. She has also held various educational roles, including high school assistant principal, district curriculum director, and high school English and math teacher.

Paul M. White, PhD, is the superintendent of New Prairie United School Corporation in Northern Indiana. He has experience as a secondary-level special education teacher, social studies teacher, middle school principal, and high school principal.

Kimberly Moore, EdD, is the director of educator development and effectiveness with over 20 years of experience as a teacher, coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. She specializes in professional learning communities and RTI at Work™, supporting schools and districts in building effective systems to improve learning for all students.

Rebecca Terry served as the early childhood coordinator and instructional specialist in the Pasadena Independent School District for the last 19 years. She worked closely with campus administrators, coaches, and teachers to transform education practices for young learners.

Dana Lillis serves as the director of teaching and learning for Carlisle Community Schools in Carlisle, Iowa. Dana’s passion is developing agency in teacher leaders and administrators to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and tools to lead and support the PLC process.

Amy Miller has over 20 years experience in secondary education and is currently the career and technical education (CTE) director in Richland School District.

Jalal Masri is the professional learning community coach at Bernice Ayer Middle School in San Clemente, California. In this role, he leads sitewide professional learning, supports teacher team collaboration, and oversees the school’s intervention system.
