Kyle Rohrer

Kyle is the principal of Powell Middle School in Powell, Wyoming. He has served in the leadership capacity for 14 years at the secondary level. Prior to administration, he was an elementary teacher where he developed the passion for professional learning communities (PLC) and learned the power behind building a strong culture and teamwork in a school.

As a leader at Powell Middle School, Kyle has been recognized as both the NASSP and WASSP assistant principal of the year. In 2018–2019, Powell Middle School was one of four Wyoming middle schools to be recognized as “Exceeding Expectations” on the state summative assessment. In the 2021–2022 school year, Powell Middle School was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. Lastly, in 2023, Powell Middle School was recognized as a Model PLC at Work® school. Kyle’s leadership style reflects the practices and beliefs behind the PLC philosophy: shared decision-making, collaboration, and buy-in amongst all staff.

Kyle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree in school administration from Northern Arizona University. Kyle also holds a superintendent certificate from the University of Wyoming.
