Coauthor of The New Art and Science of Teaching Writing, Kathy will cover an array of topics, including how argument differs from persuasion, characteristic elements of opinion and argumentation, assessment tasks, student checklists, and argument rubrics. Within her discussion, she will touch on some hands-on strategies that can appear in all lessons for teaching writing.
