Join an all-star lineup of assessment and grading experts and master practitioners, and get ready to turbocharge learning. Teachers will learn how to spark a growth mindset in students, avoid the most common mistakes in assessment design and analysis, and collaborate in teams to identify specific learning issues for targeted instructional solutions. Leaders will learn how to design structures, protocols, and schedules that empower collaborative teacher teams to develop, score, analyze, and respond to assessment.

This special event empowers aspiring and current female leaders to take the next step on their leadership journey. It’s also an ideal learning experience for those dedicated to championing change and supporting the career paths of women in education.

This two-day workshop empowers teachers and school leaders with an understanding of the Dirigo Literacy framework of The Upward Spiral of Literacy. Participants will leave with an understanding of the general tenets of the science of reading and reading development. Through examining evidence-based literacy practices, participants will understand how to propel students’ reading motivation and achievement, as well as understand the school and community-based contexts that influence literacy.

During this workshop, teams of teachers, counselors, building administrators, and district administrators will study four distinctive leadership behaviors proven to promote positive change: (1) communication, (2) trust building, (3) professional capacity, and (4) universal accountability.

This intensive 2-day workshop (12 hours total) will guide school leaders, instructional coaches, and educators through the essential components of implementing a research-aligned, system-level Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to drive substantial reading improvement in their elementary and middle schools. Grounded in the science of reading and system-level change, participants will learn how to make data-driven decisions and build collaborative teams that sustain improvement over time.

This workshop is focused on the practices and processes that will modernize grading and reporting systems to be more aligned to our standards-based instructional paradigm.
