Developing PLCs for Singletons & Small Schools
- Solution Tree is in frequent contact with the staff at event venues to get updates about new or updated COVID-19 guidance from local and state officials related to events and public health. We have proactively taken steps to promote the health and safety of our attendees, associates, and staff.
This highly interactive two-day workshop lays out a framework for small schools or schools with singleton teachers to collaborate meaningfully in order to help students learn skills that really matter. Following a seven-step framework, you’ll learn how to develop a schedule that allows for effective teaming for all, determine collaborative essential outcomes, set SMART goals, and monitor progress throughout.
- Build a case for urgency.
- Understand why collaboration and improvement matter.
- Explore the five structures of collaborative teams using stories from real PLC at Work® schools.
- Consider what skills are needed for students to succeed in an “innovation economy.”
- Learn a process for identifying essential skills that transcend any single content discipline.
- Develop a means for progress monitoring and gathering data.
- Discover how to use data to make appropriate and doable intervention decisions.
- Create a concrete and doable plan for collaborating in powerful, meaningful ways that support student achievement.

There is a complimentary shuttle to the Solution Tree Training Center through the DoubleTree Hotel. Guests must let the front desk know ahead of time that they would like shuttle service to our facilities.
If driving in, please park in the designated deck each day. Solution Tree will validate all parking stubs, so be sure to bring your parking stub with you to the workshop.
