Jonathan A. Wray

Jonathan A. Wray is a mathematics instructional facilitator for the Howard County Public School System in Maryland. He is a former primary and intermediate elementary classroom teacher, gifted and talented resource teacher, mathematics supervisor, grant project manager, and consultant.

Jon is president-elect of the Association of Maryland Mathematics Teacher Educators and past president of the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM). Jon also serves as manager of the Elementary Mathematics Specialists and Teacher Leaders Project and chair of the Core Learning Community's Core Challenge.

He was elected to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Board of Directors (2012–15) and serves on the editorial panels of Teaching Children Mathematics and ON-Math. Named MCTM's Outstanding Teacher Mentor, Jon has been recognized for his expertise in infusing technology into mathematics teaching. He also received the Outstanding Technology Leader in Education Award for his school district from the Maryland Society for Education Technology.

Jon received a bachelor's degree from Towson University and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
