The Mathematics in a PLC at Work^® Summit is led by educational thought leaders and acclaimed authors of the book series Every Student Can Learn Mathematics. Committed to helping you design an effective K–12 mathematics program, these mathematics experts will share research-affirmed and proven strategies for your classroom, school, and district.

Justin D. Garwood, PhD, is a professor of special education at the University of Vermont (UVM). He is a former secondary English teacher and K–12 special education teacher. At UVM, he teaches courses on behavior management, emotional and behavioral disorders, and statistics.

During this hands-on training designed for school or districtwide teams, general and special educators will discover how to utilize PLC best practices to develop collaborative partnerships and identify high-leverage structures and strategies that will level the playing field, accelerate learning, and support success for all students.

Fostering positive behavior by utilizing the PLC at Work® and RTI at Work™ processes will boost your school’s positive school culture, increase attendance, improve behavior, prepare students for life, and address inequities in school discipline. This workshop is designed to create a practical road map for meeting the needs of the whole child.

Teams are invited to a working two-day conference where they share the acceleration pathway, providing practical instructional strategies to ensure high levels of learning for all.
